Snoring treatment in Etobicoke with NightLase®
Call (647) 260-0563
When snoring keeps your partner awake or sends one of you to another room, finding a way forward matters. LaserLite Solutions offers NightLase®, a nonsurgical laser treatment that may reduce snoring, with care led by Malik Gardner in Etobicoke.
Treatment targets tissue that can contribute to snoring, with a short appointment and generally minimal to no downtime. Malik will help you understand whether it fits your symptoms and sleep history.
How NightLase® may reduce snoring
NightLase® gently heats selected tissue at the back of your mouth and throat. This encourages the tissue to become firmer, which may reduce the vibration that produces snoring. The process is called collagen remodelling.
The treatment uses a 2940 nm erbium laser, known as Er:YAG, in Fotona SMOOTH® mode. It is performed inside the mouth without surgical cuts or stitches.
Habitual snoring can have several causes. Your symptoms, airway assessment and any previous sleep investigations help Malik determine whether this treatment addresses a relevant part of the problem.
If snoring is accompanied by breathing pauses, gasping, choking, morning headaches or excessive daytime sleepiness, seek medical assessment for possible sleep apnea. NightLase® does not replace sleep apnea investigation or prescribed treatment.

Your Comprehensive Airway Assessment
Your 45 to 60 minute assessment with Malik includes your health history, medications, snoring patterns, previous treatments and sleep study results where available. Screening may include questionnaires about sleep apnea risk and daytime sleepiness, such as STOP-BANG and the Epworth Sleepiness Scale, plus an airway examination including Mallampati assessment.
You will receive a personalized plan explaining suitable options, the recommended course, expected benefits, risks and aftercare. Screening guides the next step; a sleep study or further medical review may be recommended.
Consultations are $100. Your consultation fee is credited toward treatment if treatment begins within 30 days. Full booking and cancellation terms are available in our booking policy. The recommended course and total cost are explained before you decide to proceed.
Treatments are self pay. Check with your Health Spending Account administrator to see whether your plan may cover the service; coverage is not guaranteed.
Where needed, care may work alongside your dentist, physician or sleep clinic and take their recommendations into account. Results vary from person to person, and no specific result can be guaranteed.

What a NightLase® course involves
A NightLase® course typically involves 6 to 8 sessions, scheduled approximately two weeks apart. You can also begin with 3 sessions and have Malik reassess your progress before deciding how to continue. Sessions last about 30 minutes. You may feel warmth and mild discomfort, with minimal to no downtime for most patients.
Malik monitors your comfort during treatment and reviews changes in snoring as the course progresses. The next appointment is guided by your response.
NightLase® questions
-
Treatment takes about 30 minutes. You will feel warmth and may experience mild discomfort. Anesthesia is generally not required. Malik monitors comfort throughout and can pause or adjust treatment as needed.
-
Downtime is generally minimal to none, and patients can usually resume normal activities afterwards. Temporary throat soreness or irritation can occur. You will receive aftercare instructions and guidance on when to contact the clinic.
-
Changes may become noticeable during the course or afterwards as tissue remodelling progresses. Results vary, and complete elimination of snoring cannot be promised. Treatment may not produce a meaningful reduction in snoring for every patient.
-
Duration varies. We do not promise a fixed duration or automatic maintenance schedule.
-
No. NightLase® does not diagnose or cure sleep apnea and does not replace a recommended sleep study, CPAP, a prescribed oral appliance or other physician-directed care. Less snoring does not prove that sleep apnea has resolved. Continue prescribed care unless your treating healthcare provider recommends a change.
-
That depends on your symptoms, history, and previous assessments. When sleep apnea is suspected, appropriate medical evaluation and sleep testing take priority.
-
No. It uses controlled laser heating without surgical incisions or sutures. Anesthesia is generally not required.
-
The cost depends on the recommended number of sessions and any further treatment considered after reassessment. Your assessment and proposed treatment costs are explained before you commit.
